Cenosphere are a type of hollow fly ash ball that can float on the water surface. They are gray white in color, with thin walls and hollow structures. They are very light in weight and have a bulk density of 720kg/m3 (heavy) and 418.8kg/m3 (light), with a particle size of about 0.1 millimeters. The surface is closed and smooth, with low thermal conductivity and a fire resistance of 1610 . They are excellent temperature maintaining refractory materials and are widely used in the production of lightweight castables and oil drilling. The chemical composition of floating beads is mainly composed of silicon dioxide and aluminum trioxide, which have various characteristics such as fine particles, hollow, lightweight, high strength, wear resistance, high temperature resistance, insulation and flame retardancy, and are widely used as raw materials in the refractory industry.
