The chemical formula of vermiculite tablet is (Mg, CA) 0.7 (Mg, Fe, Al) 6.0 [(al, SI) 8.0] (oh4.8h2o). Monoclinic, usually flaky. Brown, tan or bronze. Grease luster. Hardness 1-1.5. The density of vermiculite is 2.4-2.7g/cm3, and the volume of vermiculite is expanded rapidly when it is roasted at 800-1000 ℃. The volume of vermiculite increases 6-15 times, and the higher one can reach 30 times. The average bulk density of expanded vermiculite is 100-200kg / m3.
