Sodium bentonite is divided according to the type and content of exchangeable cations between layers of montmorillonite: the one with alkalinity coefficient greater than or equal to 1 is sodium bentonite, and the one with alkalinity coefficient less than 1 is calcium bentonite.
The failure temperature of artificial sodium bentonite is different due to different sodium conditions, but they are all lower than that of natural sodium bentonite; the expansion force of natural sodium bentonite is larger than that of artificial sodium bentonite; the c-axis order of natural sodium bentonite is higher than that of artificial sodium bentonite, with finer grains and strong dispersion. It is mainly manifested in: slow water absorption, high water absorption and expansion ratio; high cation exchange capacity; good dispersion in water medium, high colloidal price; good thixotropy, viscosity, lubricity, pH value; good thermal stability; high plasticity and strong adhesion; high hot wet tensile strength and dry pressure strength. Application
1. In drilling well, the drilling mud suspension with high fluidity and thixotropy is arranged.
