Natural flake graphite is widely used in metallurgy, machinery, chemical industry, refractories, aerospace and other industries because of its good conductivity, lubricity and oxidation resistance. It is one of the necessary non-metallic materials for the development of high technology. The structure of flake graphite is special. It is a hexagonal crystal system. The carbon atoms are arranged in hexagon closely. The binding force of each layer is very strong, but the structural force between layers is weak, so it is mostly flake. According to the scale size, the scale graphite can be divided into large scale graphite (particle size is 0.3mm, 0.18mm, 0.15mm) and fine scale graphite (particle size is less than 0.15mm)
Classification by carbon content
99.9%min of C% is high-purity graphite;
94% < C% < 99% is high-carbon graphite;
80% < C% < 94% is medium carbon graphite;
50% C% < 80% is low-carbon graphite
